Mahesh Bhupathi and Pavel Vizner, teaming up for the first time, completed a giant-killing run in Montreal by winning the Rogers Cup on Sunday.
The Indo-Czech duo cruised to a 6-4, 6-4 victory over fifth seeds Paul Hanley of Australia and Kevin Ullyett of Zimbabwe in the doubles final.
Bhupathi and Vizner had ousted fourth seeds Leander Paes and Martin Damm in the quarter-finals before scalping their biggest victims — Mike and Bob Bryan– in the semi-finals.
They saved two consecutive match points against the Bryans at in the match tie-break to beat the American twins 6-2, 4-6, 12-10.
