The International Cricket Council has expanded the list of empires in their elite panel from 10 to 12 on Wednesday in a meeting at ICC headquater ,Dubai. The decision has been taken to cope up with busy schedule ahead .In this two day meeting the board acccepted the recomendations made by the umpires task force , concerning the structure ,support mechanisms, renumeration and selection of officials in future.
                       The board also made it mandatory to select umpires for this panel and matches to be carried out by an independent three-person selection group chaired by ICC General Maneger.
              The Board appointed a four-man recruitement committeeto lead the the search for a successor to current CEO ,Malcolm Speed , who is set to step down at next year’s ICC Annual Conference in June/July.The committe comprises of ICC president Ray Mali,president-elect David Morgan,vice-president Sharad Pawar and the chaireman of Govermance Review Committee Creagh O’Conor.
