Warne warned, Ganguly fined, Umpire suspended!

Farokh Engineer is on a roll. After banning the chief protagnist in the Slapgate, Harbhajan Singh, it was the turn of the Warne-Ganguly duo to be fined 10% of their match fee for having a go at each other and at the umpire. The umpire Partap Kumar, himself did not go scot-free. Having erred in calling for the third umpire at the request of Ganguly, the umpire has been suspended for one match as well.

Wonder whether the fines would go any distance in keeping the two of ‘em quiet, given their penchant for the gab. As for the match, Shane Warne had the last laugh, easily beating the Kolkata Knight Riders side.
