Deccan Chargers take on Knight Riders

In a match that could have immense consequence for the fate of the two teams, the Deccan Chargers will take on the Kolkata Knight Riders in the return leg of their encounter in the IPl, at Hyderabad.

The Deccan Chargers have been dismal so far in the tournament, winning only two of their eight matches so far and will be looking to salvage some points in this vital encounter. If, however, they fail to beat the opposition, then their semi-final bid is all but gone. The Hyderabadi team is still unsure whether their stylish captain VVS Laxman will be able to fire or not. They will also be hoping that their ace batsman Shahid Afridi fires in this particular match, as he has been a shadow of his usual belligerent self.

The Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, will be looking to continue their momentum they gained after beating Bangalore Royal Challengers in their last game, which was curtailed due to rain. All is not hunky dory with the team, who are suffering with international players leaving, and looking to sort out their batting problems. A win will re-affirm their position as a challenger for the semi-final berths.
