The Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar finds himself in yet another controversy with reports emerging that around three dozen syringes were found in his bags when he left Lahore for Kolkata.
Akhtar has previously been banned for taking drugs, albeit unknowingly, but he was banned juts before the 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean. After these reports emerged, Lalit Modi, IPL commissioner has said that random doping tests will now be conducted on the players participating in the IPL.
Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders are angry over the allegations and have threatened to sue the Nation, in which the reports first emerged, claiming that the fast bowler was diabetic needing shots of insulin and that was what the syringes are for.
