West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Smith has joined the Mumbai Indians team as their ninth overseas player. Each team is allowed to have nine foreign players in their squad, while only four can make it to the final eleven.
Smith comes in as a replacement for Dwayne Bravo who flew back after the last match to play against the Australians. Although Andre Nel joined the team recently too, the team management felt that they needed some one in the same mould as Bravo, and hence Smith was called in.
In nine T20 games, he has taken 11 wickets at 15.27 and is more impressive than his 72 runs in at an average of 8.
