Knight Riders face Do or Die match

In a match of utmost importance and dire consequences, Kolkata Knight Riders take on the Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens today. Almost all eyes would be intently watching the proceedings and not only because if they lose, Kolkata will be most certainly out of the reckoning for semi-finals.

The truth is that the match will also provide a face off between the only two captains in the IPL to have a spat, on and off the field. The last time Jaipur played Kolkata, Shane Warne wasn’t impressed with the way Ganguly handled things, or vice-versa, and there was a heated exchange between the two on the field. Later, Warne also stimulated the media with his stirring comments.

Already Warne has started the talk before the match, saying that it will be wonderful to knock Knight Riders out of the team. They are on a winning roll and have more or less confirmed their place in the final four. But, Ganguly’s men are a troubled lot with the batting, especially the top order looking extremely fragile and now they have problems in the bowling department too, with Shoaib Akhtar hurting his knee in the last match and being uncertain for the match.
