Chennai Super Kings have upper hand over Kings XI Punjab

The Kings XI have been unstoppables throughout the tournament but the only team giving them a tough time has been the Chennai Super Kings who have defeated them on both occassions they have met during this tournament.

The Super Kings had Hussey and Hayden to show-off when the tournament started but as of today, their batting is a bit of a mess. Their only console is that they still have Balaji who helped them win their second match against the Kings XI team by taking 5 wickets. Another worry for them is that Flemming has left and their top order needs to be redefined. Dhoni has not found great form yet but Parthiv Patel, Vidyut and Raina have been doing a decent job.

The Punjab team on the other hand has the best mix of Indian and foreign players. They are a young team and have bigguns like Shaun Marsh who has been the highest scorer at IPL and Yuvraj Singh who has found form at the right time. Not only are all their top order batsmen firing, but their middle order has also performed exceptionally well.  Piyush Chawla has been doing a good job at the bowling end while the other bowlers have left alot to be desired.

Punjab had earlier won 10 of their 14 league matches while Chennai had won 8 of their league matches.

While Chennai come to play with the advantage of winning the last 2 games they have played with Punjab, the Punjab team come with their record performance throughout the IPL and all their players firing at the right time. Whatever said and done, the Kings XI team are clearly the favourites.
