Bangladesh take on Pakistan in the first match of the Kitply cup today at Dhaka. All preparations have been made and the teams are set to begin the new season with a bang.
Although the match will be taking place in the shadow of the success of the IPL, it will be interesting to see whether the players make any changes to the way they play the ODIs now.
Pakistan had hosted Bangladesh in a five match series earlier in May, when Australia had cancelled their tour. They beat the visitors in all five of those matches and are on a winning spree of 11 consecutive ODI wins. With their strike bolwer Sohail Tanvir in red hot form, they would like to continue this trend.
Bangladesh on the other hand, have reason to be worried, as under new captain Mohd. Ashraful, they haven’t done too well and would want to avoid a 6th consecutive defeat to their opponents in two months.
