Pakistan beat India by 25 runs in the finals of the Kitply Cup 2008 at Mirpur, Bangladesh.
Pakistan Captain Shoaib Malik won the toss and elected to bat first on a pitch that was better than any we have seen before in this tournament. The openers made a cautious start but Kamran Akmal departed soon. Salman Butt was joined by Younis Khan at the crease and the duo put 205 runs for the second wicket, each batsman adding a ton to his kitty. The Indian bowlers were left clueless and they sorely missed a 5th regular bowler as Pakistan notched a massive 315 runs.
India needed a brisk start but lost Sehwag early. Gambhir and Rohit Sharma tried some damage control but after that the wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Yuvraj battled his way to 56 while Dhoni played a captain’s knock of 64. Unfortunately they were not supported by any other batsman and the Indian chase fell short of the desired score in the end.
The two teams will next meet in the Asia Cup which will be hosted by Pakistan in June-July.

i am very happy that pakistan beat india on final of kitply cup 208
