India recovered well after being 132/4 at one stage, to set a target of 309 in 50 overs against Pakistan in the semis league match in the Asia Cup.
Dhoni and Rohit Sharma scored fifties as they put on a 112 run partnership to take India to safety after the early jolts. The captain scored76 off 96 balls with just 4 fours and he was the last man out in the 49th over. Rohit also scored his half century off 71 balls and was later out, trying to cash in on the death overs.
Pakistan made a rollicking start to their innings, similar to the one made by India and the Indian attack was struggling to get any help from the wicket at all. Salman Butt was batting on 23 and Nasir Jamshed on 17, each having hit 4 fours.
The target seems chase-able at the moment, with the match going till the end probably.
