India vs Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka bats first

Sri Lanka rested two of their bowlers Chaminda Vaas and Ajantha Mendis, and in their place Dilhara Fernando and Kaushalya Weeraratne will be playing, as they won the toss and decided to bat first against India.

The Indians also made two changes with RP Singh coming in for Yusuf Pathan and Pragyan Ojha for Piyush Chawla. They need to win this match if they are to make it to the finals as in the Asia cup, if two teams are tied on points, net run rate will not come into play, instead the number of wins in this semis league will count.

India have won just one match and carried over two points from their group game, thus having four points. If they lose today and Pakistan win tomorrow, then it will be Pakistan who qualify for the finals instead of their arch rivals.
