Asia Cup Final: India vs Sri Lanka

India and Sri Lanka face off in the finals of the Asia Cup, a re-match from their meeting in the final of the same tournament four years ago, when in 2004 in Colombo, Sri Lanka were the champions elect.

India though have form on their side this time around and the factor of the neutral venue also comes in to play. They have been the best team in the tournament as they have beaten Pakistan and Sri Lanka both, once each and their batting is in superb form. This has enabled them to post 300 plus totals in all their outings and even chase them down at will. Almost all of their batsmen are in superb form and it will be an interesting duel with the Sri Lankan bowling.

The only weak point is their bowling and that has to be attributed to the poor bowling conditions in the tournament so far as batsmen from all the teams have made merry. The fielding has been only at standard to other teams and this has been mainly due to the energy sapping conditions in which the tournament is being played.

Sri Lanka on the other hand almost have a similar story as their batsmen have also been in good touch. Jayasuriya, Jayawardene and Sangakkara have all got runs and it is their competition with the likes of Gambhir, Sehwag, Dhoni and Raina that wil decide who is going to win the trophy.

Even their bowling and fielding has been per standard due to the conditions, but one area that the Sri Lankans are ahead is the experience part where most of their players are seasoned campaigners as compared to the relatively younger Indian counterparts.

Expect a good battle between two almost equal teams.
