The Indian team announced today for the Sri Lanka tour saw no major surprises as far as expectations are concerned. The non-performers were out, and new young performers are in.

Dhoni has been rested, as expected, and Parthiv Patel finds place in the team after a long time to take place as wicket-keeper. Anil Kumble will be leading the side with Virender Sehwag will do the duty of the Vice-Captain.

Ojha and Gambhir have been included for their consistent performance while Rohit Sharma is being given another chance with the bat and has been included in the 16 member squad.

Piyush Chawla has been left out on account of poor performance during the Asia Cup while Wasim Jaffer could not find a place as well.

Tendulkar and Ganguly who were rested for the Asia Cup have both been included in the team for their vast experience. Harbhajan who was out of the team serving a 5 match ban has also been included in the team.

  1. Sreesanth is a great bowler.
We can expect some valuable wicket.
we never like Ishant. He is not a believable bowler.
