India will host 2010 Hockey World Cup

2010 World Cup Hockey Tournament

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) today confirmed that the 2010 Hockey World Cup will be held in India.

Although the decision to hold the Hockey World Cup 2010 in India was made last year, the decision was later put on hold after India failed to quality for the Beijing Olympics earlier this year. The federation met today and reconfirmed that India will hold the tournament.

  1. It was in the radio today that this will be a test for India prior to Commonwealth games and will be held in New Delhi in Feb 2010.
