Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty on Thursday announced setting up of Royal Bengal Sports Private ltd which would tie-up with a local soccer club and infuse the much needed professional touch in its affairs. This was after the filmstar had earlier bought a franchise in the Indian Cricket league through his Royal Bengal Tigers (RBT).
Announcing a tie-up between Royal Bengal Tigers and Howrah Union, a soccer club in city maidan, Mithun said RBT’s football division would now be known as Royal Bengal Tiger Howrah Union. Mithun, who was addressing reporters at a city hotel, said the idea of tie-up was for promotion of football in the state.
