Sania out in second round..again
Sania Mirza once again lost in the second round stage or a tournament when she lost in straight sets to Meng Yuan at the $600,000 East West Bank Classic tournament.
The 16th seed Indian lost to her unseeded Chinese opponent 4-6, 3-6 in one and a half hour contest to crash out of the hard court WTA event.
The defeat came as a big jolt to Indian fans, who have pinned hopes on India’s top woman player to win a medal at Beijing Olympics. And it now seems that it would be too much to expect anything from this women’s player as she is going into the games without any form or match fitness it seems. The bubble that is Sania Mirza is about to burst.
