Nothing in the pitch: Ishant
India’s pacer Ishant Sharma said the wicket at Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) is a dead patch as Sri Lankan batsmen feasted on the Indian attack on the second day of the first cricket Test on Thursday. Three Sri Lankan batsmen hit centuries to help the hosts pile a massive 422 for four at the close of play.

Ishant, who picked up two for 97, admitted that the bowlers will have a tough day’s work Friday. “We didn’t get too much luck going our way. There’s nothing in the wicket now and all you can do is to bowl in the right areas,” he said.
The fast bowler is totally right, as after the first day, the conditions have become sunny and whatever there was in it for the fast bowlers has completed vapourized.
