Sri Lanka achieve mammoth total

Backed by four centurions in an innings, the  Sri Lankans achieve a mammoth 552/6 at lunch on the third day of the first test against India at the SSC, Colombo.

After Warnapura, Jayawardene and Samaraweera, Tilakratne Dilshan became the 4th batsman in the innings to get to his century. The Indian bowling lacked bite on a benign pitch and the bowlers toiled fruitlessly. The sun has also come out which means that the nip in the air has also gone and it will become a spinner’s delight on the last few days.

All eyes are waiting as to when will the declaration come and what reply can the Indian batsmen muster.
