Champions League T20 dates to be moved
The organisers of the Champions T20 League on Wednesday agreed to ‘explore’ the options for scheduling of the inaugural event after the ICC Board held a telephone hook-up on the issue.
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India, Cricket Australia and Cricket South Africa offered to explore, with the ICC’s management, the scheduling of the tournament,” an ICC statement said. The statement added that the “offer was accepted unanimously by the ICC Board and it was also agreed that those Members would report back to the ICC Board within seven days”.
The organisers wanted to begin the from 29 September, which is a reserve day of the final of the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan. Now there is a possibility that the league may be held after the Australian tour to India gets over in late October.
