Sri Lanka just managed to get a 2 runs lead on India at the end of Day 2 of the third test at Colombo.
Riding high on a gritty century by Kumar Sangakkara, who was due a good score after he failed in the last two tests, the hosts reached 251 for 6 when bad light stopped play. The Sri Lankan scored a hard working 107 not out as they still have four wickets remaining in the first innings and will look on to press home the advantage.
The bright part for the Indians is that they just have to get through this last pair and then it will bring in the bowlers. But the worrying part is that Ishant Sharma hobbled off and he might have cramped up or pulled a muscle where as Sachin and Laxman injured themselves while fielding, but are said to be fine to be able to bat in the second innings.
Harbhajan Singh picked up two wickets for India as did Zaheer Khan while Ishant and Kumble picked one each. Kumble was especially unlucky as two chances were dropped off him, one by Dravid and other by Tendulkar.
