New manager for the ODI team
TC Mathew, Kerala Cricket Association secretary, who was appointed cricket manager for the Test team, will be returning with the test players and his place will be taken by Sanjay Desai, the assistant secretary , Karanataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).
“I was informed about the appointment on the day when the team selection for the ODI series was made,” he said from Bangalore.
This will be Desai’s first assignment with the Indian team. “I have travelled to the US and Europe in a personal capacity but I’m going to Sri Lanka for the first time representing the Indian team,” he added.
This should be noteworthy that the annul general meeting of the BCCI is coming up in September and the onus will be on to gain as many friends as possible.
