The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited a few Australian educationalists and umpires to train Indian umpires.
A team headed by Ross Turner, Cricket Australia’s Global Development Manager, will be in India on two different visits to Mumbai and Bangalore in August and September.
Turner said, “Me along with Darren Goodger, Graham Chudleigh will be in Mumbai from August 26 and during a seven-day trip, will interact with state cricket associations’ beginner umpires. Future perspectives and an educational programme on umpiring will be discussed at length with them.”
“This time, we shall have interactions with more than 100 Indian umpires. They will be divided into three groups and sessions will be addressed by these experts,” Turner concluded.
