Yuvarj fires in practice match
Yuvarj Singh delivered on his promise of a good showing in the upcoming five match ODI series as he took the Sri Lanka XI attack to the sword as he notched up a brilliant century and scored 172 runs propelling the Indian score to 342 in 50 overs.
Suresh Raina scored 45 and Gautam Gambhir 31, while Virat Kohli opening in place of Sehwag got 23. But the centre of attraction was Yuvi who notched up his runs in 121 balls with 8 fours and 13 sixes.
Sri Lanka XI were 136 for 4 in 29th over, still quite some distance away.
It remains to be seen how he fares though against the double spin threat of the Muralitharan and Mendis.
