Sri Lanka’s mystery spinner Ajantha Mendis is the man to watch in the one-day series against India that starts on Monday after setting a record for the number of wickets in his first three test series.
He said, “I haven’t drawn out any special plan for the ODI series. I am only trying to do what I know best. My speciality is that I am able to bowl different types of deliveries, and I wish to do that in the ODIs. There is nothing else I’m aspiring to do.”
He also had a few words for the legendary Muralitharan, “It’s a privilege to bowl with Murali. That gives me strength and helps me bowl well. I would like to use that experience as long as I can.”
