Sehwag injury scare for India

India will be badly hit for the first ODI against Sri Lanka as their dashing opener Virender Sehwag might not be able to play in the match due to an injury scare.

Sehwag was hit on the ankles during a session in the nets and is sure to miss the first match as a result. The Indian team was banking on their opening pair to counter the spin threat as the duo of Sehwag and Gambhir was quite effective in the test series against the duo of Mendis and Murali.

In his place, Virat Kohli is expected to make his India debut as the Delhi opener also played in the only practice match against Sri Lanka XI.
