BCCI warns youngsters against IPL
The BCCI is vary of the talent hunts that the various franchisees of the Indian Premier League (IPL) are conducting in various parts of the country.
Professor Ratnakar Shetty, Chief Administrative Officer of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, has issued a statement advising players not to sign up with the franchisees.
“It has been brought to our notice that some player agents have been going around and contacting junior cricketers from state associations, luring them of a place in one of the eight Franchisee teams of the IPL. Cricketers are cautioned against signing any contracts of this nature,†Shetty was quoted as saying in a BCCI media release.
