Mendis easy to play now: Rohit Sharma

Indian middle-order batsman Rohit ot Sharma thinks that the Indian players will now have no problems playing the mystery spinner Ajantha Mendis in any future series after having played him with relative ease in the recent ODIs against Sri Lanka.

“You might have seen what happened in the one-day series (in Sri Lanka). He did not get as many wickets (as in the Tests). That was because our players had played him more often by then. I don’t see any difficulty (in playing Mendis) in the future,” Sharma said.

About his own poor performances, he said, “I did not perform well, but am very happy with the way the (ODI) team performed. It was more a team effort than an individual one.”
