Sachin, Dhoni in ODI Team of the Year
India’s captain for shorter version of the game Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar are in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) One-Day International World side captained by Australian Ricky Ponting for the second year running. The team was announced on Wednesday at the ICC awards in Dubai.
The ODI team for 2008 (in batting order):
Hershelle Gibbs (SA), Sachin Tendulkar (Ind), Ricky Ponting (Aus, captain), Yunus Khan (Pak), Andrew Symonds (Aus), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Ind), Farveez Maharoof (SL), Daniel Vettori (NZ), Brett Lee (Aus), Mitchell Johnson (Aus), Nathan Bracken (Aus), 12th man: Salman Butt (Pak).
