Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) withdrew its hosting rights of the fourth ODI of the India-England series as Tata Steel, which maintains the Keenan Stadium, neither refused nor handed over the ground to them for preparations. The one-dayer is scheduled to be held on November 23.

“As we have received no response despite the deadline set by the JSCA till this afternoon, we have no option but to withdraw from hosting the one dayer,” Rajesh Verma Bobby, JSCA secretary, said.

Meanwhile, the Indian Cricket Board said in case Jamshedpur fails to host the match, it can shifted to Bangalore. “As per BCCI’s rotation policy, if Jamshedpur fails to host the match, then the one-dayer will be awarded to Bangalore,” BCCI Secretary Nirajan Shah said.

However, he added that “a final decision will be taken at the BCCI annual general meeting on September 27 and 28.”
