Chennai Superstars

Chennai Superstars won the first ICL 20s by beating chandigarh Lions in the finals at Panchkula almost a year ago, and their progress continued as they won the ICL 50s domestic tournament as well. They also finished 3rd in the Edleweiss 20s challenge earlier this year. With a no nonsense coach in Michael Bevan, Stuart Law as captain & Karsan Ghavri as mentor, they seem to have done everything right in the first season of the ICL.

With the inclusion of the internationally acclaimed wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Parore, it will further strengthen the already formidable superstar batting line up. The bowling for the Superstars has been a critical weapon for their winning the first two editions of the ICL in the inaugural ICL20′s & the domestic ICL 50′s.

R Sathish (captain ICL-India & VC Chennai Superstars) has been one of the success stories of the ICL both with his leadership skills & cricket talent and much will be expected again from him this yeas as well.

Five of their players, Ian Harvey, G Vignesh, Sathish, Russell Arnold and Hemang Badani have scored more than 300 runs each in the last season, and all of them made it to the top 15 batsmen as well. Harvey has also been among the wickets with 20 to his name, as T Kumaran took a great haul of 35 wickets in just twenty matches. Shabir Ahmed and Vignesh also contributed their part.
