The Royal Bengal Tigers belong to the cricket crazy Kolkata. They have ended up claiming a top four position in all the three tournaments they have featured in the ICL sor far. Led by the ever inspirational Craig McMillan & coached by South African great Daryll Cullinan, they will start as one of the favourites in the forthcoming ICL season if they can get the right spirit going.
Alongwith their captain Macmillan, their batting will lean on the shoulders of the two impressive domestic players in their ranks, Rohan Gavasakar, son of the legendary Sunil Gavaskar and the prodigal Abhishek Jhunjhunwala.
They have an impressive all-rounder players’ list as well with the likes of Lance Klusener and Deep Dasgupta and will only be further bolstered by the inclusion of the hard hitting bowling all-rounder Andre Adams from New Zealand this season. Their bowling attack will be led by South African paceman Nantie Hayward and spinner Upul Chandana and supported by the domestic left arm pacer Eklak Ahmid.
Filmstar Mithun Chakraborty bought a stake in this team last year and will be whole heartedly supporting their cause this season.
