Australia finally declared early in the morning session of the fifth day of the first test against India at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore. This means that the Aussies set India a target of 299 from a minimum of 80 overs to win or save the match, or even lose it if the visitors can bowl the home team out.
Shane Watson was the only wicket to fall as he was bowled by Ishant Sharma before the declaration came.
In reply, India have gotten off to a bad start as Sehwag and Dravid are back in the pavilion with the score reading 24 for two. Brett Lee and Stuart Clarke took one wicket each and the going has now got tougher for the Indians. Gambhir and Tendulkar were at the crease and they need to fire for India to have a chance in the match.
