India Australia Series
India v Australia, 2nd Test: India wins toss and bats
India won the toss against Australia in the second test at Mohali and elected to bat first. What was of note however, that it was MS Dhoni who came out in place of Anil Kumble and thus it was assured that Anil Kumble won’t be playing this match.
In place of Kumble, Amit Mishra will be making his debut in the Indian team while the rest of the team remains unchanged. For Australia, Peter Siddle makes his debut for Australia in place of Stuart Clark who is also out injured.
The pitch is firm and hard with a true bounce and the ball is carrying nicely to the bat. India made a rollicking start with Sehwag going at a run a ball and giving him good company is Gambhir who was earlier hit on the helmet by Siddle. India reached 63 for no loss in the first hour itself.
