India crossed the 400 run mark before lunch on the second day of the second test against Australia at Mohali.
The hosts lost Ishant Sharma early who fell to a trap set by debutant Siddle who took his second wicket to add to Sachin’s last evening. But after that skipper Dhoni came in and it all went India’s way. India scored 90 runs for the loss of a wicket, and it was their session no doubt.
Dhoni’s aggression shaped the proceedings as he took a lot of pressure off his partner and not allowed the burden of captaincy affect his batting. Ganguly looks well set to score a century as he is batting on 91. He has looked good in parts and had to deal with a difficult passage of play with Lee firing bouncers but he coped well with them.
