Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has been nominated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Technical Committee.

Ganguly has been nominated to the BCCI Technical Committee, a release from the BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said on Thursday. The former India captain retired from international cricket just after the recently concluded home series against Australia, which the hosts won 2-0.

And barely two weeks after his retirement, Ganguly is being inducted into the committee that is headed by the legendary Sunil Gavaskar, and has former Test batsman Chetan Chauhan, national selector Kris Srikkanth among other members.

Ganguly had met up with BCCI President Shashank Manohar the day after the Nagpur Test had ended, and held discussions on his future association with cricket. However, the release has not specified Ganguly’s nature of work.

Full list of technical committee members: Sunil Gavaskar (Chairman), Chetan Chauhan, M V Sridhar, Biman Bhattacharjee, Milind Rege, Gyanendra Pandey, Kris Srikkanth, Sourav Ganguly, VK Ramaswamy, N Srinivasan.
