India and England go head to head in the 3rd ODI of the seven match RBS series at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The first two matches of the series were played at Rajkot and Indore, and the home team won both and lead the series 2-0.
India have been riding high after the series win against Australia and the first two matches show the confidence the team is carrying at the moment. The players are all in good form, especially Yuvraj Singh who hit back to back tons in the first two matches and was also among the wickets. Even Ishant Sharma has been declared fit to play and in this case is expected to be in the playing eleven in place of RP Singh who hasn’t been that effective in the two matches.
England have many problems, the most important of which is how to get Yuvraj out cheaply. Their bowling made a comeback of sorts in the second match but that was more due to the dual nature of the pitch than anything else. Their batting is well balanced but the Indian scores are proving too much for them. A great all round effort is needed from them to challenge the home team.
