Suits left by the England cricket team could not be traced in the terror-stricken Taj Hotel where authorities are busy with more important issues at hand.
“They had left their suits back at Taj,” BCCI Logistic Support in-charge Surya Nayak said.
“But it is not appropriate to ask, as of now, as things are settling down at Taj. We will come to know about it later… after all, it was a tragedy of bigger magnitude,” he said.
The English team left their Hugo Boss suits for the two-match Test series at the Taj and planned to pick those after the ODI series was over.
But the terror attacks in Mumbai saw them returning home abandoning the last two games of the seven-match series.
Before leaving for England, England captain Kevin Pietersen said, “If we’re looking what’s going on at the moment, all our cricket stuff is at the Taj hotel. So we’ll be the first team to play a Test match in blues.
“I haven’t a clue and we’ll have to get all the logistic stuff sorted first but the decision to go back to London will buy us some time and if we need to fly back to India on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday next week then so be it.”
