Scheduled to be held from December 3-10, the Champions League tournament, which will showcase top domestic Twenty20 teams from Australia, England, South Africa, Pakistan and India, was postponed due to security concerns following the Mumbai mayhem on November 26.
“They’ll look at potential dates but as you can understand it is very difficult to find a window that suits everyone,” a Cricket Australia spokesman was quoted as saying in the ‘Herald Sun’.
Indian Premier League winner Rajasthan Royals and the runners-up Chennai Superkings will represent India in the week-long event, while Victoria and Western Australia are the Australian qualifiers.
