The New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has said that they would decide on the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) request for an an extra Test during their March tour of New Zealand by next week.
The (NZC) will decide on the BCCI’s request of an extra Test match during India’s tour to New Zealand in March and come up with an answer by next week, a satement said here on Friday.
The Indians, who are viewing for the top Test spot along with the current leaders Australia and South Africa, are scheduled to play two-match Test series, five-match One-Day series and a Twenty20 match during their 40-day tour.
However, the BCCI had wanted an extra Test to be included in their bid to top the Test team’s chart.
Even the Kiwi team’s coach A Moles and captain D Vettori were thrilled about the idea of playing an extra Test against one of the best Test teams in the world.
