India and Sri Lanka go head to head in the second ODI of the five match series in a day-night game at Colombo. India won the first match by six wickets and took a 1-0 series lead.
Sri Lanka will have to tighten up in all departments as their batsmen failed to build on Sanath Jayasuriya’s century and also were guilty of loose running between the wickets and sloppy catching to them. Tillakaratne Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara were the only two who looked like scoring any more runs.
Scoreboard – India vs Sri Lanka – 2nd ODI – Colombo
India were very good throughout their victory. This was a very good win for them even though Virender Sehwag was missing. He will be available for tomorrow’s match though which means Rohit Sharma might sit out. The Indian batsmen handled Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis giving them just one wicket in 20 overs. Murali is just two wickets away from his most wickets world record.
The match begins at 2.30pm IST.
