India beat Sri Lanka by 15 runs in the second ODI at Colombo to lead the five-match series 2-0. They had already won the first match by six wickets.

Pacer Ishant Sharma grabbed three wickets in the late overs to make India’s position stronger. Earlier, Sri Lanka lost their top batting order in the form of Kumar Sangakkara, Sanath Jayasuriya and Tillakratne Dilshan in the first ten overs of the second innings in the 2nd ODI in Colombo.
Thilana Kandamby smashed a half-century and was supported by a patient knock from Jayawardene, scoring a 100-run partnership. Jayawardene gave away his wicket to spinner Ojha and swung the match back in the favor of India.
Earlier, electing to bat first, India too received early jolts to their batting line-up but managed to pile up 256 at the loss of nine wickets against the hosts. Yuvraj Singh completed his 38th ODI fifty before being wrongly given out.
