The Victoria Bushrangers beat the Delhi Daredevils by seven wickets in a low-scoring Champions League encounter in Delhi which leaves the Indian Premier League sides still searching for a first win.

The Daredevils could only post 98 for eight, a total which Victoria surpassed with three wickets down and 20 balls to spare. Delhi’s batsmen struggled to impose themselves, despite the best efforts of Virender Sehwag, who crashed 21, and Mithun Manhas, whos cored a patient 25. Clint McKay returned three for 17, Andrew McDonald two for 17 and Shane Harwood two for 20 as rarely, bowlers prevailed.

The more experienced Victorian line-up coped better with the conditions, Rob Quiney hitting 40 in 33 balls and Cameron White guiding his side home with an unbeaten 22. Amit Mishra, TIllakaratne Dilshan and Rajat Bhatia all picked up wickets but Victoria made it two out of two for Australia following New South Wales’ win over the Diamond Eagles earlier in the day.
